QuoteSo he was a good administrator?  Ok.

Its a wee bit bigger than he had a nice signature at the bottom of the page, he has a Tsunami of credit behind his name, but we will see it pan out soon enough.
And, that $115 will save Jacksonville from financial ruin. - Mayor John Peyton

"This is a game-changer. This is what I mean when I say taking Jacksonville to the next level."
-Mayor Alvin Brown on new video boards at Everbank Field

Mtrain, you seriously can't think of one thing?

A wise, ardent supporter of any candidate would not gloat over the defeat of a fellow republican, rather offer reasons to join the winning R campaign.

No?

Hogan actually acknowledged Brown politely in his victory speech. I think the passion of the argument as gotten many resentful and things like buckethead pointed out get said. Anyhow, this is good so we can look forward to a strong turnout. As this past turnout was terrible!
Mtrains comment against the accomplishments of Brown being out of state obvoiusly carries a lot of weight in Jacksonville. It makes me question the strategy of any mayoral debate. With both candidates presenting the opposite ideas of the future of the city, Brown should concentrate on where he has high appeal and inspire those voters to show up at the polls.

Another wild question to throw out here;
Will Audrey back a candidate?
I'm lead to believe that Hogan never approached her in a derogatory way. Its almost like she has to endorse him or face the wrath of the Duval republicans. Like leave the party? oops, no pun intended!

Jimmy

Brown needs to talk about his and our hopes and aspirations as a city.

Hogan can only talk about his fears (so far, anyway).

Sometimes the voters will chase their dreams for a better tomorrow.  Other times they will be overcome by fear and prefer to hunker down.

Hopefully we have a crop of dream-chasers going to the polls on May 17.

Hillary supporter, I believe Audrey would decline to make an endorsement before endorsing Mr. Hogan.  She was never a "party player" in the GOP.  I don't think she feels beholden.

She would be a great demo candidate in 2012. I think she could whip Crenshaw here  in his congressional seat.

Jimmy

Crenshaw's seat has been gerrymandered to perfection, like the rest of Florida. One race at a time. :)

Thanks for your comments without resorting to name calling. I voted for Audrey and as I mentioned earlier I find myself leaning towards Mr. Brown at this point. However I am still waiting for a reply from his campaign to an e-mail I sent last Wednesday asking where he might be speaking in the next few weeks so I can hear what he has to say. I understand he was at RAM this past saturday. Wish I had know since I live just up the street from there.
Hopefully he can get here on MJ and talk to members. I really want to hear what he has to say.
John
I've heard from the campaign this morning about a '"low-dollar" fundraiser and chance to meet Alvin Brown, downtown, this Thursday.

Posted about it here: http://www.metrojacksonville.com/forum/index.php/topic,11671.0.html

Typical M-train response :).   Hogan didn't get my vote the first time, and definitely wont in May.. if for no other reason... because YOU support him.

This race is not over as some "experts" think. Still an uphill climb but Alvin is truly an excellent candidate.
