Gaffney Signs

Is someone jacking around with Gaffney? I see Gaffney signs on almost every vacant lot in Springfield. I cannot imagine he would want his name sitting so prominently on all the vacant lots in Springfield, so is someone in the neighborhood reminding the rest of us of the recent past ????

Interestingly enough I have only seen two Gaffney signs on a property with an actual house sitting on it.

Isn't there a sign ordinance that prevents this stuff?  Just the signs in general.  I know agents can't post "open house" without permits.  Though I understand some changes are coming for that.  Not saying I agree with the ordinance.  Just thought there was one.

I am not sure- but overnight they popped up on every vacant lot (at lest on the eastside) which I thought was perhaps someone's idea of a joke :-)

I'm thinking it would benefit the candidate to have more signs visible. If it was a prankster or an artist making a clever point, it will likely be lost on the general population.

Any who oppose his campaign would do well to eliminate those signs by legal methods.

Springfielder

most of the signs that I'm seeing, which yes, they're at either empty lots or vacant houses...are all on the CROW, so it's legal....just really funny where they're showing up. Guessing that there's not many of us who support him and want a sign in our yard

The support of the demolitions in the neighborhood...well it is fitting I must say, that is the legacy left us is it not?

Is it legal to post signs on the CROW?  If a Realtor does it, the city picks it up.

That said, Marc should have his supporters put HIS signs next to them on each lot. :-)

Signs are a problem, but his representation, or lack thereof, is more of an issue! Can anyone point out anything that he has done for Springfield and the residents? Other then vote "Yes" on the past property tax increases?

No its not legal. And not just realtor signs..snipe signs are illegal and picked up by Solid Waste as they see them.

Solid waste must be blind then.. These snipes are all over the hood mainly in the CROW... They've been there for a while now and as the election gets closer there are more popping up...
Yankees suck!! Yankees suck!! Yankees suck!!

now that i know they're not supposed to be there, i suppose it's my duty to do my part as a concerned citizen and get the hell rid ov them.

Hell 8th st is covered with them :-(

I have Marc, Michelle, and Audrey signs up maybe I should move then off the crow (I know I do not own it, but I do landscape it-that should count for something!)  I just think it is freaking hilarious that someone put his signs on every vacant lot- and vacant "on the list" house.

On a side note, I have only seen on Kimberly Daniels sign in the hood, just proves Springfield has class!!!!!
