Mike Hogan was "only joking" when he considered bombing an abortion clinic!

He was in a Christian church that moved from the God is justice of the old testament to the God is love of the new.

I just vaguely remebered that passage from a long time ago.  And you're correct in saying that the old testament was, shall we say, a little brutish.  The new testament is not as much, but it isn't wasn't written as a history, it's a collection of stories mostly.  I'm sure I could find enough examples there, too, without referencing Revelations of course.

A common mistake people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools.

I want to know where he stands on preserving access to our areas beaches and waters. Will hefight to keep bottom fishing from being banned? Will he fight to preserve your ability to enjoy a day at Huguenot Park? All the other issues are the same ones we had last time and the time before and the same factions are drawing lines and calling names. That will never end. But if access to the beach is lost we will never get that back. If bottom fishing is banned it will be gone forever. What does Mr. Hogan say to that?

I wonder if the Jacksonville Assocation of Firefighters and the Fraternal Order of Police will reconsider the endorsements they gave to Hogan?

It made the national news.

Good, just like the Civil Rights Movement, We need to use the national media to embarrass our leaders into evolving and be more forward thinking.

Hogan is the tax collector for Duval County. So someone tell me, why are so many high end earners defaulting on their taxes and getting away with it, while Hogan only seems to go after the little guy? Why does he not call in the taxes of big business? Wouldn't you get more from a big business, than you'd get from several families? What a tool!

As a Republican but more importantly a new Jax resident I pray this guy does not win.

The Tea Party says this is no big deal...

She said the group did not consider it a big issue that Hogan recently joked that bombing an abortion clinic may cross his mind, a comment he apologized for a day after making it before an audience at a Catholic church.

"Everybody has slips of the tongue and he apologized for that," she said.

8 more years, 8 more years of the same ol shit!!! That's what we have to look forward to if this FBC ideologue wins the election. And now it looks like it's going to happen!!! I can't sit around here for 8 more years wishing for and settling for the minimum progression.

I want to live in a vibrant city before I'm too old to enjoy it.

I'm 31 years old now going on 32. I'll be forty before Hogan's regime is out. What good is vibrancy and a hopping nightlife when you're past your prime?!

Let's get out in force and stop this from happening, I believe we can still pull it off.

Everywhere I go lately, I advise people to vote. I just hope that everyone is doing the same thing.

I resent your crack about forty years olds and at the same time agree with your entire post.

I hope you didn't expect otherwise.

So the Tea party supports bombs and not rail.  No I am not surprised.

I knew that Hogan's base of support would support him regardless of what he joked about regarding bombing abortion clinics.  I am also not surprised that these anti-incumbent folks endorsed a slew of incumbents.  LOL

This election will be a test of how much clout the social conservatives have in this city.  If a certain dowtown church truly owns Jacksonville, they will have enough folks out there to throw their support behind Hogan.

Conservatives don't blow up other people.

This kind of joking doesnt appeal to conservatives, it appeals to radicals and fanatics.
Thank you for that, Stephen.
