As a Catholic myself, I'm truly offended that he tried to appeal to my faith with an asshole redneck country bumpkin expression like that. I hope they didn't buy into it. Baptists hate Catholics anyway. I hope that they realize that and take his comment to offence.

I saw him on the news last night and he backpeddled saying he wanted to clear his name, but when the time came, he snubbed the media. Instead he lashed out with a cheap shot against Payton. He may've been right in what he said but, what a desperate and cowardly attempt to deflect attention away from himself.

Let's just hope that he keeps digging himself deeper and deeper until he's forced out of the running by his own stupidity!.

It always cracks me up that abortion is even a topic of interest in political elections. PARTICULARLY at such a minor level as the Jacksonville Mayoral Election.

Don't worry, I'm not offended.  We need to improve our image, just like the rest of the city.

But I agree with everyone else - abortion is NOT a subject that should be on the slate for local office. I mean really, what does it matter?  I'm simply offended that he thought to make light of it... And I for one would LOVE to post a big sign outside his Roosevelt HQ saying something like "This site is the future home of a women's health clinic" or something similar. That would be funny to me.

Well.......
