Oktoberfest at RAM

I have seen this mentioned in some other posts, but I figured it should have it's own thread.

This weekend (Friday and Saturday) RAM is celebrating Oktoberfest.

On next Friday and Saturday nights, October 15 and 16, the Riverside Arts Market is putting on our most ambitious event ever -- OKTOBERFEST UNDER THE BRIDGE. This is going to be a major musical event for the city, and well as one of the largest free entertainment extravaganzas in a long time. It will start Friday evening and continue all day Saturday and Saturday night.

Beer and bands: we'll have 20 varieties of artisan-crafted beers on tap, an oompah band, and 5 of Jacksonville's hottest indie bands. We having a marathon iron-chef cooking competition with 48 chefs and celebrity judges in a national healthy food cook-off. We will also be the official venue for Friday night's Jacksonville Film Festival with award-winning short films on the big screen. We'll have a German Food Festival, plus all the art, food and free fun RAM is known for.

I am going up there with some friends and possibly family Friday night. It looks like it will be an awesome event. I like how they are incorporating many things into it like the cooking contest and the film festival. Plus with 20 different beers on tap how could you go wrong?
