Does anyone know what material the home/outside facade is going to be made up of?

It will be made from many different materials.

Just wanted to post a quick note to thank everyone that has supported the Walnut House project and for giving us so much feedback. I am very excited that the house was approved for my company, for Jacksonville, for Springfield, and most importantly for our clients.

We hope that the Springfield and Jacksonville community also takes pride and ownership of this house as well. What was accomplished by getting this project passed unanimously at the HPC meeting on Wednesday has the potential to be huge for our neighborhood. Springfield will be at the forefront by being a Historic District that has a modern, sustainable home as an infill project. We look forward to sharing this news and the process of building this home to a larger audience. An audience that will also be educated on Springfield just as much as the house.

Link to the results of the HPC meeting, our presentation images, and client reaction after the decision:

I agree with you.

Like a true walk-up, go one more half-level in height without becoming imposing or disrespectful to the adjacent properties. Show off a little more. mmm basement. If the water table permits, partially bermed rear parking below could be a priceless perk.
I will be watching this one sprout out of the dirt!!

exciting indeed
