Of course I could not capture every single option, but hopefully hit on the top ten.  I made so everyone gets three votes, so you can choose your top three. If I missed some key options let me know and I will update the poll.

I only voted for one and lost the option to vote for the other two.

Did you go back and try again? It is set for three votes....

And Lake I think you are spot on! Those would of been my top three, if I did not think SPAR has too much sway on the demolition of homes in the neighborhood.

Obviously preservation, followed by the environmental issues (not necessarily meaning one is more or less important than the other) and lastly the current perceptions as unless those change, SPAR Council will not be able to accomplish anything anyway. It is why others are stepping up and getting things done when SPAR Council can not.

SPAR's first priority should be expanding the membership and working to change perceptions.

Bringing new businesses to the commercial corridors and preserving the remaining historic stock are equally important to the long term success of the neighborhood.

Environment (parks, ash, cleanups, etc.) is a very close #4.

mine:preservation, environment and lowering membership to expand it.

QuoteSpringfield Residents Positions

I think its only fitting to see if we can put together position papers for those of us who feel SPAR missed the mark on its position papers. Aside from the over all issues they stated, the general tone is also pretty combative.

So, how about it? State your top issue, write it up, and post it here!

Number one should be changing perception of SPAR. Board members who cannot agree to work on this issue should be excused from serving on the Board. Board needs to spend some time on getting their act together too. In this, they probably need help.
