JEA: Everybody pays for home foreclosures

This is an interesting side of the foreclosure scene in Jacksonville. We all pay to keep the lights on in these vacant homes. :(

I wonder why we bear that cost, instead of the bank or the noteholder. ?

I wonder also! JEA does not hesitate to cut someones power if they are slow paying their bill so WTF? The house is empty and would seem to me to encourage vagrants to take up homesteading..........make no sense to me all!

I guess it costs them more to go after the banks and the noteholders.
