The historic district regulations don't cover paint color.

And RAP doesn't really have any enforcement power anyway.

I think all they can do is ask the owner not to do that.

Hah! They painted a lion on it, too! Honestly it's ugly.. but hey.. I guess you could say that it adds to the "artistic charm" of Dellhood.

Just happened in the last day or two.  It's two houses south of the orange house.

It's located near the Riverside Park side of Dellwood... not sure what the cross street is.

I thought it was vacant too, but noticed a nice rasta flag was added to the porch the other day.

There is a senior Marine Corps officer living next door.  This could be interesting.

The cross-street is Copeland.

Well, the tree has been painted over to the relief of everyone in the neighborhood.  There is now a large Rastifari flag hanging from the edge of the porch.

Nothing like advertising that you have some of the sacred weed inside.  I and I think that this is foolish showing off fellows.

I'm pretty sure it is meant to be a representation of the Cameroon national flag in support of that nation playing in World Cup 2010 in South Africa. But I'm glad to see racial stereotypes are alive and well in the 'liberal, open-minded' readership of Metro Jacksonville.com...lol!

I might just go out tonight and paint one of my trees red, white and blue and the other tree with the Cross of St. George in support of the USA and England in the World Cup just for the joy of irritating some of the people on this board. Maybe they'll just suspect I'm outsourcing jobs and selling tea! LOL! :-)
