My girlfriend and I did one of these that they had as part of the luminaries festivities this year. The ride is an easy pace and it was really informative. The one we did ran about 4 hours, and was well worth the time.

The photography on this site never ceases to be awesome.  I wish I had such innovative ideas for staging pictures when I visit Jacksonville.
The tourist would realize at once that he had struck the Land of Flowers - the City Beautiful!

This year's Springfield Tour of Homes and Gardens, scheduled for Mother's Day weekend, will feature an e2ride bicycle tour of the Springfield Historic District.

Wearing a helmet is required, not optional. Why so?

I imagine that has to do with the proprietor's liability insurance.

^^ State law I think?

And agree - phenomenal shots snapped.  Really makes you appreciate the neighborhood's rich history and offerings.  Great job as always!

To add on to Miss Fixit's post, the bike tour through Springfield may be a free one. Details are still being worked out.

Im looking to do the San Marco tour if anyone is down?

Those look awesome.  I would like to do them all at some point.  4 hours is pretty legit, might be tough to do in the summer.

Yes, helmets are insurance requirement.  Also, just a smart thing to do.  (I believe it's the law for 12 and under.)     Everything comes with our tours, so you're ready to ride, or you may bring your own bike and gear and save $25 on the tour.

I have done countless hours of Riverside bycicle touring.

Who knew anyone would ever be able to make a profit from it? Good for you!

Cycling is the best way to see the world, IMO.

The architectural gems and juicy stories on the tours have our neighborhoods rich in history and comparable to that of Charleston or Savannah.  I have a tremendous appreciation for the organizations like RAP, San Marco Preservation, SPAR, Beaches Historical, and Mandarin Preservation Society that help keep our neighborhoods healthy and spectacular.

Great article and amazing photos. As someone who's been on Leigh's ride thru Riverside Avondale, I can't say enough about her infectious enthusiasm and spirited framing of the neighborhood's history.  She gives out great snacks, too.
