In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

You mean the guy who playes Denholm? Chris Morris?

He is a former British MPs son, and he once ran his own obituary in the Guardian.

Or do you mean someone else?

No I actually ment since the women in all white was obviously(to me anyway) Joan of Arc, was wondering who here would have guessed the male dipicted in the story.

Which was the French nobleman Gilles de Rais. Her right hand holy warrior and one of the most wealthiest man in Europe at the time.

Yes I am well aware of his history without Wiki, it fascinated me that Joan's biblical righteous holy war was waged by and with such a disgusting vile soul who was well practiced in the occult and sacrificed the children to a demon.

What actually made me buy said CD was because the whole story the CD told was bout him which I found fascinating.(I am a bit of a religous study) Song posted above was about Joan's burning and his absence the start of his fall.

and

AAAAAND

its a caughty tune and I love the singer's outfit I'd love that for Halloween :D

he engaged in warfare as a part of his bloodlust
he himself wasn't a holywarrior but went on the crusade as one with Joan for the moment, nearly(NEARLY) cementing his name as one.

You should listen to the whole CD, its about his life and crimes.
They will do things for a face value of a shock and awe but you have to actually know the history and what they are singing about alot of times to know the meaning, that they are not actually screaming incoherently. Which makes me find the band worth getting into, I love the layers.

that's arguable, although no doubt some was due to upbringing to be a warrior and the times, I am not sure you can just develop a taste of the horrific things he did to children from slaying a man your age or older. Although no doubt I am sure it didn't help.

but I think the Cd's message is that of what war do to one

Sport, I think you mentioned that you are a vet.  While I know that all feel changed by the experience of war, do you ever feel any evil underpinnings from your experiences?  Do you feel emotionally compromised?  Or do you feel that the experience strengthened you?  I know that these are personal questions and will understand if you fail to respond.

Iv never said I was a vet of the Haji war in the middle east
I have however been shot at here in Jacksonville some times, and Atlanta once. The training I have has actually kept me from returning fire on all counts(but one) so maybe Im just special lol

I am somewhat familiar with PTSD.  Most of the examples cited were not combat veterans, but simply had served in the military.  I would agree with the citation that it would be difficult to determine whether the military service somehow enabled the cited killers or whether some who had a psychological bent towards killing were drawn to the military without significant study.

I don't believe that PTSD or combat service would tend to drive one towards the kind of sexual deviancy exhibited by Gilles de Rais, even the brutal form of combat seen in his day and age.  It has been my experience that those that have struggle with such issues tend to withdraw from relationships and/or avoid circumstances in which such events could reoccur.  Of course, I am not a trained mental health professional, but I have seen many deal with killing others.  While every individual deals with such things in their own way, it seems to me that such crimes as de Rais' were the result of a different psychological catalyst.  Perhaps some studies have been done on such individuals (child sexual killers) in modern society which would provide some context that would make sense, if that is possible for such crimes.

Sport, the reason I asked is that I have heard this "PTSD" crazy vet line all of my life and I don't see it.  While I have seen some individuals suffer from their experience and fall into withdrawal, substance abuse, and inability to forgive themselves, it is my personal experience that most in this position know how to place these experiences into context and logically deal with it.  I find that as a general rule these are the persons who value life the most and understand how important our societal norms are to all of us.  While there are certainly exceptions, the individuals cited earlier are certainly a bunch of nuts, I am not convinced that such experiences would lead one to these kinds of crimes.

I have always believed that child molesters are incurable.  There is something wrong in the head of an individual who relishes the kinds of feelings gained by sexual domination of a child.  We seem to arrest the same individuals over and over.  These individuals (IMHO) don't rehabilitate, they just learn new ways not to get caught.  I have never seen a correlation of this sickness with military service.

More study of such individuals is needed in order to fight such criminal behavior.

I have people who are closer then family can every be who have PTSD from Iraq and Afganaland. I know that war doesnt drive people toward such acts that he did, that is pre-existing or came from some place else.

The only cure I know for anyone that does that to children is a bullet to the head.
