Hello all,

Very happy to let everyone know.... been at the ATF office all afternoon and we are officially legal!

Ian Ranne and Marianne Purcell, the owners of Shantyown Pub in Springfield are opening our 2nd location The Lomax Lodge in 5 Points on Febuary 15th 2010 (my 30th birthday!)

"The Lodge" will feature-
-12 beers on draft (Guiness, Stella, PBR, Stone IPA, Sierra Nevada, Strongbow Cider, La Fin Dumande, Purple Haze, and more)

-hundreds of bottled beers from all around the world

-a selection of fine wines hand picked by Marianne herself

-live music of all generes atleast 5 days a week. DJs every night!

-pool table, fooseball, air hockey

-a limited food menu including boiled peanuts, beef jerky, and more snacks

-artwork by Shaun Thurston and more of Jacksonvilles finest artists

we are keeping Shantytown open and look forward to bringing the same vibe and charisma to 5 points!
The Lomax Lodge will be open 7 days a week, 365 days a year, from 4pm-2am from Febuary 15th til forever.

Visited Lomax Lodge last night.  Marianne was tending bar and a DJ was spinning death metal, hip hop, etc.  Very nice.  I'll be back.

Donnie should be making a regular DJ appearence on Monday nights before he heads over to Shanty for 'Metal Mondays'. I missed it this Monday but I'm gonna try to make it up there next week. Tonight there are a few bands playing so if you're free stop on by. I believe the first band goes on sometime around 10pm. Looking forward to them having bands play on the regular.
