I remember my grandfather listening to the radio all the time and as of late I've discovered NPR and public radio stations on my iPhone.. Is there a particular radio show you listen to and why?

On NPR I usually make sure to catch some stuff-

Zorba Paster is great, good advice and the two hosts crack each other up, it's always entertaining. The recipes tend to be really good too.

This American Life - I go back and forth with this one. I like most of the segments but then some of the people they have on there just come across as pathetic or just whiny and I just usually yell "SHUT UP!" and change the station.

Wait Wait Don't Tell Me- It's a pretty funny quiz show but I honestly liked it a lot better when they didn't have an audience all the time.

I listen to Car Talk sometimes as well, they're funny and provide good tips for stuff.

I used to work the day shift on Saturday mornings when most of these shows came on and just about everything that comes on Saturday is pretty good. I've found some really interesting books by listening to "To The Best of Our Knowledge" and the world-travels show is neat as well.

Call me a simpleton but NPR is way to bland during my morning zombie commute.  L&T do a good job of waking me up and making me laugh.

In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

The Dan Patrick Show is the best morning radio.

If you don't like "A Prarie Home Companion" you're a commie.

Garrison Keeler is hung like a mule.

Neil Boortz is a beast as well.

Guy Noir? The host of the show, and the person playing the role of Guy Noir is Garrison Keillor.

Forget radio.  Pandora gives me exactly the music I want, whatever my mood, when I want it and for as long as wanted.  CD quality through my stereo system.  I have channels from Country to Vivaldi to Rock.

There is NOTHING on local radio worth listening to.

Listening to Garrulous Keeler mooing away in his depressive monologues will drive you to suicide.

I have an old Macintosh MR65 tube tuner. Will that work?

Only if you can find paper coned speakers.  LOL!  Those amps are wonderful.
