Back in June of 1992, I got shaken out of bed with crap flying all over the room in the infamous Landers Earthquake. It was a splended 7.3 monster that ripped the cabin in half by off setting the floor by about 3 feet. Ouch, the Darn thing killed 1, injured a bunch, and completely wrecked the Old Woman Springs Highway. Little did I know that science had discovered a way to "see inside the quake". Thought I'd share this very cool, but very expensive experience with y'all.

The white is slight shaking, moving up through the blue shades, then green, orange and finally the knock you on your caboose RED. The fault line is plainly visible about a mile east of the cabin as a long escarpment some 30 feet high. People that lived even closer ran out of their cabins and said they saw the entire length of the fault "smoking", others reported "Fountains of Sand." No doubt some effect of desert dust, sand and being compacted by the combined weight of the western United States. But to see how the quake happens is downright beautiful.
