Best Wednesday and Thursday nights

Hi all,

My friends and I are coming down from ATL tomorrow for a golfing trip however would love to go out while we are down. We have come down many times to JAX and have ended up at Twisted Martini each time. Every time we had a wonderful time. Everyone was friendly and unpretentious.

What is going on Wednesday and Thursday that has a good female patronage? I understand that it is during the week and may not be very crowded. Are the Beaches the best bet during the week?

Also on the weekend, for those who like Mark's and Twisted Martini, which one is the best for nice people and female population?

Bay Street Downtown (Marks, Dive Bar, TSI).... the Landing.... Beaches.

IMO, those are your best bets. Or you could also try out the Gold Club. I hear there are ladies there.

Thanks for the reply. So even during the week those places have good nights? I was searching the net and saw a place called Aqua? How is that place?

Yeahhh.....I'd skip Aqua for this trip unless you're into the possibility of getting shot. Security at the door is twice as strict as airport security and you still don't feel safe. Beaches or downtown I would say.

I know Marks has some stuff going on wed and thrurs. I think Thursday nights are ladie's night and they have a great "after woork" happy hour. I'm pretty sure TSI and Dive Bar have similar things going on.

You can look them all up on the web.

Also, sites like CYNJax.com and BUZZ.com have info on happenings.

Don't know much about Aqua.

Thursdays at the beaches tend to draw younger college crowds for the drink specials.

Starting this week Thursday nights @ Dive Bar is Downtown Jacksonville's ONLY motorcycle meetup. You don't have to ride to go though. $2 drafts $2 wells $3 calls from 7pm - 2am I believe. Mark's right next door has something going on Thursday nights as well! Check out Bay Street!

Wednesday... there's "Are Friends Electric?" at Square One (San Marco), "Guilty Pleasures" at Eclipse (Avondale/Riverside)

Thursday... The Pearl (Downtown) gets quite packed, ladies' night at Square One (San Marco), ladies' night at The Atlantic (Beaches), and Ocean Club (Beaches) gets fairly packed as well

I've never really hit up Bay St or The Landing for weeknights out *shrug*

Wednesdays are always good at Dockside. Whoops, that's been gone for about 20 years now. I do miss it though.

. That was a tremendous outdoor deck. What is there now? More office space? Damn, I am getting old.

Marks is NOT good on a weeknight to meet females, trust me, i've been several times and all 3 have been low in numbers.

The Beaches is your best bet on the Thursday night, it'll be packed.

Go to The Ritz, Brix, & Fin McCools (all with-in walking distance from eachother) and you'll be set.

Wednesday night (last night) We we ended up at Twisted Martini. We had a great time. Their were some pretty faces to be seen and we made friends! We met the owner and he was very cool and we plan on visiting again!

Tonight we are planing to go to the beaches. I hope that is a good choice for Thursday.

Depends on the kind of girls your looking for I guess. There always tends to be a very well mixed crowd at Dive & Marks on their Tuesday nights. Wednesday I would have to say I prefer Square One. The have recently revamped the upstairs so even if your not into the dance scene there is a nice lounge with several pool tables upstairs. Thursdays are their bike night now, so yes it's mainly guys. Which by the way was a great turn out specially for their first. So if you missed out this past week we hope to see you this Thursday. ANY bike is welcome!
