5 Points Theatre

Tonight is First Friday in 5 Points, and there are a number of free events lined up starting at 5 pm.

Underbelly will feature a portrait series by 5 Points' own Gunnel Humphreys - The Girls of 5 Points.

The 5 Points Theatre will be showing locally made music videos from 5 pm to 7 pm. Just drop in at any time and watch as many as you want.

Last month's First Friday drew a huge crowd, so there's also just the chance to see and be seen.

Also, tomorrow you can watch the first Gator football of the year at the Theatre. Guy the BBQ Guy will be returning as well. Kickoff is at noon, and doors will be open by 11:30.

If you know of more First Friday events, post them!

BASS DOWN @ Lomax Lodge - Dan Snider & Wes Reed DJ All Night!

Sorry no suprise motorcycle & car shows this month!

EDIT: Sorry I just realized BASS DOWN isn't free... but not a bad deal. I think it's $5 if someone can correct me.

Is a lot of stuff going on outdoors there? I'm picking up a new dog today and I'm trying to figure out where I can walk her around and take her out for some fun.

I have never been to First Friday in Five Points.  Is there an official website or facebook page for this event?  I remember going to Five Points in July and did not encounter much of anything.  Not to sound critical, but it didn't seem as busy as downtown or St. Augustine.

Should have been out last First Friday, it was packed. I threw together a motorcycle and car show in front of Wolfgang. We filled the streets with some awesome cars and bikes. Free beer, live music... you really missed out if you didn't attend. Normally First Friday's is a little slow but I always end up down there anyways.

There is a band or two playing at Birdies around 7pm tonight. FREE entry.
