Lots of excitement this morning on my little corner of the universe (Main Street between 7th and 8th).  Apparently,  a man rolled into the pawn shop next door with a bike (a fancy $1000 bike, I'm told) and tried to get sell it to them.  Luckily, the owner of the bike had reported it stolen from the back of a pick up truck near Shantytown earlier and had passed out a flier to the pawn shops on Main Street.

When the woman who works at the pawn shop saw the bike, she recognized it from the flier and said to the man "I am confiscating your bike" and the other worker called JSO.  They took the bike from the thief (who then fled) and waited on JSO.

That's great, too bad JSO didn't catch the scum bag who had the bike...but kudos to those at the pawn shop who were alert and helped get the bike back

When she said to him "that bike is stolen!"

He said "well, then can I get a reward?"

LOL, you gotta admit that's pretty funny.

I wish someone would try to pawn my bike.
It was stolen off my porch last week, and I reported it stolen.
It was a fancy and very unique bike, I miss it a lot.

I wonder if they will catch him...

She should played cool and taken down his name and stuff and called police in the meantime.  He would have never realized he was caught until the cops showed up.

Circulate a flier to the pawn shops in the area.  It helped this bike owner.
