Hello all, hope everyone's fully recovered from the fourth of july weekend

My name is Maxwell and I am a professional musician. Born and raised in Jax, I left for college and grad school before returning temporarily last fall. I will always love Jax because it is my hometown but it's got a long way to go before it becomes the city I'd like to call my home. I know we'll get there one day; I just hope that day is in my lifetime.

I have big personal dreams for our urban core, assuming I amass enough wealth and the city develops sufficiently to make it all happen. So let's hope my career and Downtown Jax follow similar positive trajectories

Anyway, while I've spoken with a handful of you personally, I'm finally extending a formal introduction to the community after over two years as a member because...I've decided to extend my homecoming for at least another year! It's about as permanent as permanent can be for me and I look forward to settling into my new home and trying to be a better Jaxson. The past many months had been spent preparing to relocate across the country, so it's with deep satisfaction and relief that I now prepare to settle in. Nice to finally meet ya...

Hello Project Maximus!!  I wish you the best on your Dreams and a warm welcome on your Homecoming!  I returned to Jax in late 2004 after being downstate since 1992.  Hopefully someday we will meet up !

Anyway, I probably should do a better job of marketing and self-promotion...I'm just a generally unassuming guy...but you can expect some shameless plugs on this site in the coming months. I'm involved in A LOT of projects so I'll be blowing up these forums accordingly, lol.

Thanks for asking, Bill. You can be sure that when I have something to promote, I'll be posting here incessantly. But at the moment, no, I am not playing anywhere. I was in a cover band performing weekly for many months but we quit and are currently retooling to record and tour an original album hopefully by September. Another band I'm in does play four nights a week at the beach...but I don't gig with them. I'm just too busy to do these 3-hour cover gigs and honestly have no interest in them at all. The only reason the group does it is they need the cash (and it's good money too...) In that band, we're planning to hit the studio next month to record ORIGINALS.

...I started typing about all the other stuff I'm doing, but I think it should wait. Like I said, I'll be shamelessly promoting everything heavily when the time comes. But I'm really excited and proud of all that I'm involved in; it ranges from classical to rock music, non-profit work and community theater. Very hard for me to say no when given an opportunity. See y'all around our lovely city!
