What's up with Big Jim?

He has either been absent or faint several times this week.  He's become a constant in my mornings and I've missed his cheerful/mournful tooooooooot!  Anybody know what's ailing him?

Then silent later in the week.

You don't think... ...the ash finally got to him???

I think they've got it turned down so low that when it rains it does not work.
