Hey Everyone, (HEY NEW GUY!!!)

I've lived in Jax for about 6 years now.  Finally in a position to get to learn more about the city, and hopefully get involved on some level.  I happened across this page when I was looking for a Thai restaurant, and the reviews for Tup Thim Thai on Roosevelt were spot on as to how good the food and decor was.  So I figured I'd check out the rest of the forums.  I'm really digging the Dining and Nightlife section, and Neighborhoods.  I wish I could be in town for the next pubcrawl next week, but I'll be in Chicago for a week.  I am hoping it continues because the next one has my name all over it, and if it's a week night, I'll save a day off just for the aftermath.

It's fine to be a moron, as long as you're an entertaining moron. Just keep using those apostrophes correctly and everything will be fine.

I'm not a total grammar hound, but I make a concerted effort to use the English language as was intended for the most part when interacting with the general populace.  I'm hoping we're not going down a questionable path, like dark and in the woods with a rubber hose, if I misplace an apostrophe. :-P

When posting on the internet, I make mistakes all the time, especially when I'm in a hurry. I'm only a grammar hound when I'm writing something professionally. I think most people give me the benefit of the doubt when I'm online.

Welcome JaxDiablo! Too bad you couldn't make it last night. Check out some of the pics in the "Tax Day Pub Crawl" thread. The next one is Thursday May 13th. We have a Facebook fan page too. If you can I'd definitely take Friday off.

Also, not sure of your age, but when I moved here 5.5 years ago I found a young professionals group called IMPACTjax (www.impactjax.com and also on Facebook). The group is sponosred through the Chamber of Commerce and has a social every 3rd Wednesday. The next one is next week at the Poker Room in Orange Park. You should check it out!
