I was looking through the "Underappreciated Side of..." articles of Riverside and Springfield and it got me thinking: has MJ done a story on the impact the old streetcar lines had on the urban core neighborhoods?  Something along the lines of showing an aerial or map with the lines called out combined with both old and new photos of the TOD properties surrounding the lines? I know there have been some articles on the old streetcar lines, so I apologize if this has already been done.  I just thought it would be interesting to have something showcasing the impact fixed mass transit lines can have, plus it could help the argument that fixed transit brings in investment and disprove the argument that mass transit can't work in Jax.

No. Its something we've discussed in the past but have never gotten around to doing.  I agree that its something that will be impactful to see. Most don't know that spots like Five Points, Park & King, Main Street, Hendricks Ave. and San Marco Square are all examples of early 20th century transit oriented development.

Thanks Lake! I figured it had either been done or discussed. Looking forward to it!
