Stephen - Where is the 3rd sketch?

From what I have gathered, the victim could not provide enough of a description on the third person.

QuotePolice released three composite sketches of the rapists

As stated by Mr. Dare, I was wondering where the 3rd sketch is, as we have, to date, only seen 2.

Oh, sorry.  I seem to have overlooked the actual wording there...  :)  my bad.

Stephen, great work old friend... We all gotta do Medellin sometime, and I'll show you guys what great security looks like! Remember I told you where I live in my condo "In the Worlds Most Dangerous City," the violent crime rate is 1/6 Th of Jacksonville's.

I want to go back and address those who stated that guns were dangerous, and somehow immoral.
First, a gun of any type, from a BB gun up through the pistols to the infamous German 88mm Field Piece, are 100% safe, anywhere, any time. Proof? Take any gun, lay it in a secluded spot and someday after your dead and gone, come back as a ghost and check it out... Let's say that WAS possible. 10,000 years later, it's still laying right where you put it. Guns don't kill, PEOPLE kill.

Good gun control is knowing how to field strip your piece, how to clean it, measure, size and load your own bullets, and most important of all, HITTING WHAT YOU AIM AT. There are two methods to do this with a group of 3 -10 or more thugs. The first is a secure position, and ONE SHOT - ONE KILL, this tends to ruin their whole day. If the group is in a face off with you and your so out numbered or overpowered by their weapons, take careful aim at the most vocal one. You tell him, y'all might get me in a rush, but not before I make a canoe out of HIS HEAD. If they do run for you, KILL THEM ALL AND LET GOD SORT THEM OUT!

Sorry if that sounds like a heartless old Vietnam Vet, and a Veteran of 20 years of very limited Civil War... (sort of). A PB&J sandwich, tastes just as good at your kitchen table as it does sitting next to the body of a dead thug. Hows that for respect?

RAPE is never about sex, it is always about power over a helpless victim, so by it's very nature it ranks alongside murder. THAT is the morality of these bastards, but it's somehow immoral to shoot them? Dear lady from several dozen posts ago, so you lay down and take the abuse because it's more immoral to shoot them then to surrender yourself to that type of violence? You said you had two children, what do you suppose these societal misfits are going to do to your baby's after one of them smashes your head with a brick?

OCK ADVICE: I too do not like the semi-auto pistols for my women friends, even the best of them have a nasty way to jam at a critical moment. Won't happen with a double action revolver. For a smaller build female, I would not go to 9mm, 45, or 44 cal. weapons. A 357 mag. or 41 cal. revolver is excellent, try before you buy, and MAKE SURE ITS NOT SINGLE ACTION (which when loaded can fall and discharge). Get a gun in these upper calibers in a weight just slightly above your total comfort zone, this will help compensate for the recoil or "kick up". Also note the longer barrel guns have a generally longer-accuracy range.

The 41's are not real common, but out in the California desert, I have used a pair extensively. As a fan of BIG guns, I have to admit, this is the closest thing to a perfect handgun as I've ever shot. The caliber is small enough that there is very little kick, really about like a 38, but the 41 mag, has a knock down force like dropping a house on your targets head.

Of course if we as an MJ group catch these scum sucking boy pero baramunda's, then y'all should know that Shooters, has the 1929 vintage Thompson, available for around $450. SWEET. Do y'all think it will go nicely with my 44 mag saddle rifle? I love cannons.

So I attended a neighborhood watch meeting earlier this week.  I asked specifically about this case because I haven't heard a peep from the media, local area, etc.  They weren't able to disclose anything on the case, which I interpreted as nothing has happened due to my impatience to get this solved.

Has anyone heard anything?

Riverside, I was at that meeting too.  As was stated there, these guys will eventually be caught.  If they are arrested for ANY other crime, their DNA will match.  What do you think the odds are that this is the only crime these rapists will ever commit?  When they get one, they will get the others.

There was a raid on Ernest Street just across from the Quickstop the night after our meeting.  Remember the Sargent telling us that narcotics was working on that area?  Thank you, JSO.

What time was the raid?  Good to see the additional support.

About 5:30PM.  Didn't see it myself; report by another neighbor.

This thread is horrible.  I always feel safer on my bike than walking or running and now what?  Geez.

As for breakins...when I lived alone, I was told that a shotgun is the best for the home because you can just point and shoot in the dark and it's bound to hit the bad guy.  A handgun might not be as effective for those who aren't as inclined to go for target practice.  REAL police grade pepper spray seems like a good investment too.

It's an urban myth........you can miss with a shot gun. Even in close proximity. The flash and noise though will clear out a room of causal crooks. However shooting in the dark without identifying your target will often kill a firendly. Always ID your target.

For example, in my house the distances are not great. One of my 12g with 00 buck would shoot 9 each 30 caliber pellets in a group about a pie plate size at that distance, approximately 1 square foot. The doorway to the entry way is 4 foot wide and 7 foot tall, 28 square feet.  A person is around 2 ft wide and 6 ft tall, 18sf. There is 10sf of entry to miss the bad guy in the dark. That's ignoring the 90sf of wall around the opening.  You can miss with a shot gun.

It sucks to read about this kind of crime in the urban core.  We have people who are trying to improve it, and then we have criminals who try to take us back two steps for every step that we take forward.  This is discouraging, but I would like to know what the crime stats are for Riverside in comparison with other neighborhoods.

Yeah, living alone and someone strange is in the room...I'd classify that as an unfriendly.  :)  But I hear ya.

If you are gonna use a shotgun, it's highly unlikely that you can be discreet with it. So there's no point in staying in the dark. 9 times out of ten just the sound of racking a round is enough to make someone think twice about proceeding. I highly recommend a GOOD tac-light (I recommend surefire) with the capability to temporarily impair a target's vision. And you know if you're pointed at his face, you're probably not going to miss.

As far as penetrability, #12 to #8 birdshot is easiest on the walls with somewhat larger spread pattern. Some people recommend buckshot. But I think it's overkill in a situation like this and in an apartment setting is liable to blow a huge hole through your neighbors wall.
