Jags blacked out

Due to slow ticket sales, the Jaguars game against Arizona this weekend at Jacksonville Municipal Stadium will be blacked out in Jacksonville, Savannah, and Orlando.

The Jaguars say that they are 17,000

tickets short of a sellout, but others say it is closer to 6,000.

The game wasn't planned to be shown in Savannah anyway, as the Panthers-Falcons game was supposed to be shown on their Fox, and Orlando will carry the Tampa Bay-Buffalo game. In fact, this game is only going to 2.1% of the nation (just Phoenix, Tucson, and Yuma).

Hopefully the Jags can sell more tickets! The game will still be on the Jaguars Radio Network (WOKV in Jacksonville, WBMQ in Savannah, and about 15 other stations)

Yeah, Justin.tv is a pretty fantastic site for streaming live out-of-market sports. You'll definitely be able to watch the Jags game live there. Quality isn't that great, but what can you do. I'll be at the game though. Will be a beautiful day for football.

They need to find a way to black out all possible viewing. Internet and all. The game is blacked out for a reason.

The Bucs should be if not already. That is, in my opinion, the worst team in the League.

Detroit and Oakland have had games blacked out. In week one, I believe Cincinnati and Miami needed extensions to sell out. Expect to see blackouts in San Diego, St Louis, Tampa and Cleveland also.

They are blacked out again this week, even after a win last week. They expect to sell more tickets than the 46,250 sold against Arizona, but it will be short of a sellout.

Orlando wasn't planning to air the game, anyway, so Savannah, Orlando, and Gainesville will not air the game, along with Jax. Tallahassee's CBS might air it, though.
