Does anyone know if there are plans for the corner or if it will become another empty lot/parking lot. I didn't have a chance to get a COA number, but I'll swing by there tomorrow before work and grab one from the site.

Yes, that's where the new Walgreens store will be going up.

Orlando developer Unicorp National Developments has applied to build a 12,610-square-foot Walgreen’s drug store at 1801 Davis St. N., not far from the Shands Jacksonville campus. Plans show that the project would require demolition of an ABC liquor store on site.

Will it be an urban-style walgreens, or one of those crappy ones like Park & King

Don't know, but I'd suspect the same thing you see at Park & King, since that area isn't in an official historic district with an urban oriented zoning overlay.
