Another Riverside Resident

RiversideLoki

Greetings from Riverside! I've been lurking the site for about 6 months off and on. I just figured I'd finally get involved in the discussion. I'm an employee of a small computer firm here in jax. Have lived in Riverside for around 4 years, and work mostly with architects and such. I'm also involved in the art community in a passive way (read, serve drinks at a small gallery) and spend tons of free time in 5-points listening to the gossip. ;) I like having a pulse on the community.

I bike as frequently as I can, but 2 kids prevents me doing so as much as I want. I'm also active in the community doing charity work as a member of the 501st Legion (those star wars guys).

Look forward to speaking with all of you and adding my 2 cents.

Welcome Loki... this site is nearly as good as 5 points to gauge the pulse of the community!  We look forward to your input! :)
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

BT said it.  You'll find quite a few fellow residents to mingle with here.

Welcome!

Hello all. I too am a newcomer to MetroJax but not to Jacksonville. I moved here to the Baymeadows area from Gainesville in 1985, then to Arlington in 1989 and finally to Riverside in 1995. I love Riverside. I am smack in the middle of the RAP area and love the entire area. And I am astonished at the growth in this area, especially around 5 Points in just the past few years.
I am a proud Harley-Davidson owner and also belong to a railroad historical society focusing on the Atlantic Coastline and Seaboard Airline Railroads which had a huge presence in Jax for many, many years.
I look forward to getting to know folks here more as time goes on.

Did you say, Star Wars?

Why yes, yes I did.

You can find us at most art walks.. why? I dunno. Some people think we're irrelevant there. Here's a pic of me in front of Universe of Superheroes for Free Comic Book Day.
