I don't know why he left Times Square to come to Jax but the Naked Cowboy is in front of the Wachovia building across from the Landing.

I didn't get any closer but I am sure that others will have photos.

What's he all about?  Never heard of him.

It's -10 degrees in Times Sqaure! :) He'd be the Frostbite Cowboy.

He's basically a Times Square icon at this point. It makes sense that he would go south for the winter though.

From NY NY to the Jacksonville landing  ???

My gf took a pic with him last time we were in NYC... guy didn't even have strings on his guitar.

$20 says cops don't recognize him as an NYC icon and arrest him for indecent exposure  :D
And though I long to embrace, I will not replace my priorities: humour, opinion, a sense of compassion, creativity and a distaste for fashion.

Maybe he's on a world tour.

This is funny. I remember hearing about him in Times Square. It seems someone was trying to sue him or something like that.

BridgeTroll

Maybe he is protesting the parking meters...
In a boat at sea one of the men began to bore a hole in the bottom of the boat. On being remonstrating with, he answered, "I am only boring under my own seat." "Yes," said his companions, "but when the sea rushes in we shall all be drowned with you."

^  Now wouldn't *that* make quite the statement, hmm??

Well, where else would he keep the change?

ProjectMaximus

LOL...i think I've seen him the last three or four times I went to NYC. I feel bad for any tourists who went to Times Square find him...he is quite the iconic attraction. Someone should talk to him and see what he thinks.

Charles Hunter

He's been here before - in the winter.  As long as he's not really naked, and wearing that - whatever it is - he's not "indecent" - just strange.
