St. Mary's Episcopal Church (corner of Laura & 9th) has, for decades, provided Christmas presents for children in this community.  Most of the parishioners of St. Mary's struggle with financial issues, many are homeless or live in substandard housing.  Sue Carmichael has worked for over 20 years to help the children in this neighborhood and nearby communities have Christmas, summer camp, holiday meals, and many other things that they would not be able to have.

This year, donations for St. Mary's "Christmas Room" -- a room usually filled with presents for these children -- is pathetically low.  Churches and others who, as a matter of course, have filled the room in the past, have drastically cut back on donations.

St. Mary's needs new unwrapped toys for these children.  Any kind.  Any type.  Any size.

Should you wish to contribute, please bring a new, unwrapped toy to St. Mary's between 10 and 3 Monday through Thursday.  It doesn't matter what kind of toy it is.  Tell them it is for the "Christmas Room."  If you can't drop it off during these hours, PM me and I'll make arrangements.

St. Mary's is a wonderful church, it is my church.
