Finally, this project has started construction. Interesting that the owner said, "we never just do one project. We want to really invest and get involved." The more developers in downtown that actually build things the better! To borrow a phrase from the Jags General Manager, I hope the Related Group is hunting up more projects to fit within the Jacksonville ecosystem.

The longer it goes the more sense it makes that they may be making a play for the mosh site.

But yeah I totally agree. You listen to the main guy talk, and it seems this is the first project of potentially many. They already did Azure Jax bch years ago - so they kinda know the for sale market. DT Icon project will be for rent if I'm not mistaken.

They also mentioned about bringing in additional construction company - Coastal Construction Group to Jacksonville and that they'd get an office here. That just plays into the fact that there's potentially more to come. His story was great, moved to the US with barely anything and made the American Dream happen for himself and his family.

He talked about how Jacksonville was ahead of Miami at the time when he first visited. In Miami, he bought a parcel, developed it. Wish he bought more because of the transformation that happened with all the development, and costs. Jacksonville stalled and it seems that we're on the cusp of hitting the transition phase of becoming a great.

Seemed very focused on DT development for the future. Not only luxury, but working class as well.
