Meanwhile, my 2nd failure in a row in Connections

Started doing Connections and Strands recently.  Got the hang of Strands and building a success rate there.  Connections seems much harder and still working on getting a better hang of that.  Some of the connections are pretty stretched in my opinion.  And, having only 4 guesses given how many possibilities exist is not good either.  So, no need to apologize for failing there.

Connections remains tough.  Some very tenuous connections they come up with  .

Figured out Strands.  Able to solve that so far with no hints after the first try to get the hang of it.  NYT doesn't track my solve rate on that game for some reason.
