^ Paid low 7 figures.  Won't be free for much longer probably  . 

I would expect the NYT to "enhance" it with further variations and maybe increase the difficulty factor to make it more challenging, especially for their crossword freaks.  Maybe also increase the "vocabulary" since the original 2,000+ words will all be used in about 6 years.  Gonna have to read the NYT to expand my vocabulary at that point but, then, that is their point - read their paper to better play the game  .

Tried Dordle.  Did a several games.  Best score so far was 2 + 4 = 6 followed by 5 + 2 = 7 and 4 + 3 = 7.  Basically doing 2 Wordles at once with the same guess used for both games.  When one is solved you go on and finish the second game.  Lowest combined score is your goal.  Unlike Wordle you can play multiple times in a session.

Got a 3/6 for the first time in weeks today and it looks like my subscription to the NY Times crosswords will finally pay off!
