Evergreen Cemetery is one of the oldest cemeteries in Jacksonville that's still in operation, and one of the city's great historic spaces. Join The Jaxson for a look at the cemetery's history and the graves of those buried there.

Great info and pix; have never seen the other areas of Evergreen before.  Here's a little more info, including the Cummer's infant, for whom their family mausoleum was constructed.  (Have also heard that the swimming pool at Good Shepherd church was a gift from Ninah and Arthur Cummer).  Not sure how their infant daughter died, whether or not it was a drowning, not sure why they chose to give a pool.   https://laceupandwalk.blogspot.com/2016/04/walking-tour-of-evergreen-cemetery.html
