Springfield's Third & Main to break ground on Saturday

After years of delays and revisions, ground breaking ceremonies for Springfield’s first major loft project on Main Street will be conducted this weekend. When complete in 2008, Cesery Companies' three story mixed-use project will offer 43,587 square feet of apartment rental space and 7,500 square feet of street level retail space that is expected to be filled with businesses such as dry cleaning, delis, and coffee shops. This is looking better and better.  I expect this project to begin the rebirth of Main Street in Spingfield.  Great news!

I realy like the revised architectural details.  This should be a huge boost for Springfield.

This is definitely good news.  Just so you know though, there won't be any site clearing for 2-3 months. But the project is a go.

These units are tiny (668-944 sq ft).  Good location though.  It will be a great addition to Springfield, especially on Main Street.

by the way, the wording on the site now lists "apartment homes".  the wording (and the concept, at least slightly) may be changing though so the developer can take advantage of tax credits.  instead of "apartment homes" it may be "extended stay hotel".
