There just isn't enough patrol in the neighborhood period

I've seen 2 purse snatchings in the last 3 months just outside of Mossfire with horrible response times from the local police.

I had called emergency after witnessing a transient weirdo attack a guy and attempt attacking multiple others (including families with children present) that lasted over an hour. 911 told me not to engage the guy to stop bothering them after my 3rd call. It was so frustrating that this idiot just hung out there giving the cops plenty of time to scoop him up.

You would think between the violent attacks and terrorized business's something would change. Instead it's just motivates criminal's to get away with more.
And though I long to embrace, I will not replace my priorities: humour, opinion, a sense of compassion, creativity and a distaste for fashion.

Lockstar Salon on Stockton Street was hit over the weekend.  In addition, I know 2 people whose homes have been burglarized.  Both homeowners experienced JSO's dismal response time, including one woman who was home with her baby and let the 911 operator know that she was home and watching a guy break into her garage!  Her husband got there from the other side of town before JSO did!  There have also been a number of residential burglaries in Murray Hill, again with dismal JSO response.  My sister-in-law watched a guy enter a home through a window and had to call twice in order to get any response.  This is disgraceful.

We called JSO on a guy wlaking down the street with a gun, we called 911 FIVE times over a half hour with no response. The guy eventually walked into a house and when JSO showed they could do nothing.

Sounds like we need to be filming more of this, video seems to be a little more attention grabbing than discussion on a forum.  Sad though.   :(

Sadly even that doesn't get their attention.  We offered JSO video evidence of an obvious drug deal occurring on a sidewalk across the street from an elementary school a couple of years ago.  They weren't interested.  In hindsight we should have pressed the issue further, but admittedly we were really frustrated with the inaction.

Oh, but when the 2 fat chicks across the street from me that have nothing better to do call the cops on me 3 times because I have friends at my house, they come immediately. Go figure.

I think you left out a very important detail about those 2 fat chicks.....

Amusingly, I just got a recorded message from JSO about an increase in residential burglaries in my hood (Murray Hill)..they were encouraging calling either the non-emergency number to report suspicious persons or 911 in an emergency (obviously), but then went on to say that they can only be successful in fighting crime with the aid of residents, etc.  Wouldn't they need to respond to calls in order to actually be successful though?

oh...they respond.  it just takes them a while.  two years ago i called in a "burglary in progress" at my home and they were there in a flash though.  only took them 45 minutes.  worth every penny we are paying them.

i had another break-in a month ago at a murray street house we have.  these idiots actually climbed a barbed-wire fence too.  they got nothing - just did damage to one of the units.  morons.  oh - and the evidence technicians and detectives.  complete joke.  don't even get me started.
