We went to Koja Sushi a few weeks ago and the place smelled like raw sewage. HOAT.

I will never go back.

QuoteThat, along with Mount Fuji, are my two fav's

I've only been to Mt. Fuji on 17 once... pretty tiny inside but the rolls were excellent.
The Mt. Fuji roll was quite a production and my favorite overall.
And though I long to embrace, I will not replace my priorities: humour, opinion, a sense of compassion, creativity and a distaste for fashion.

Wow, i totally forgot about Mt. Fuji, that place IS good. I went when it first open a few years ago.

Ill have to pay another visit.

Ewwww....that Mt. Fuji by regency is so nasty.

I made the mistake of going in there once, thinking it was the same people that have the Mt. Fuji on 17, only to find out I was horribly wrong.

The Mt. Fuji on 17 is fantastic, and that's the one I was referring to. The other one, by Regency Scare, just happens to have the same name, and is no good.

I cant believe that the Regency Mt. Fuji is still open. I cant believe the building itself is still standing.

That place is gross.

We went to Mt  Fuji once, had the foresight to not even bother with the sushi there.

I really like the Sake House over on Riverplace, it's so quiet over there and it's closer than 5 Points.

Best sushi/japanese place in town has to be Sekisui over off of San Jose, by Winn Dixie. Place doesn't look like much from the outside but they've got a huge menu with all kinds of fun things to try. Tons of little seared and grilled appetizers (the seared beef tongue and tuna cheeks are amazing) and some really great sushi. I think their sashimi plates are some of the most beautiful in town.

The BEST sushi place in the Jacksonville area is Akaya.  There's one off CR 210 and one off Racetrac Road.  When I move to downtown (hopefully soon!), I will miss Akaya.  I went there last night and gorged until I was silly.  I tried the place underneath San Marco Place last Sunday after the game and it was pretty good.

God, I LOVE sushi.  I'm craving it now.
Thinking about moving to Downtown.  Soon to be divorced, tired of yard work and want to live closer to Jags games and everything that Jax has to offer.

I will have to try Akaya since I work at the next exit (the WGV).
