Miami's Extraordinary Wynwood Arts District

If you've ever been to CoRK Arts District, the idea was inspired in part by Wynwood Arts District Association and the Wynwood Walls. Courtesy of Moderncities.com, check out this unique destination in Miami featuring over 70 art galleries and the worlds largest outdoor public art installation.

That is certainly cool, definitely agree that it should serve as a model for Jacksonville or any city looking to spice up some of its more bland areas and foster some additional creativity within the local arts community (/ give them added jobs and $ for spicing up businesses/properties).

I would just say that I'm glad the articles uses "one of" when referring to the size/scope of this public art because that is hard to measure and I feel that quite a few older, established cities artsy metropolises like LA have had this "organically" going on in one or some parts for a very long time (I'd  say the Mission in SF is a giant public art as neighborhood as well, generally with a Latin cultural lean or a political bent).

I'm also glad to see Miami doing something like this.  The city tends to run so "superficial/glitz meets glamour" in its presentation (see: Miami Design District for an idea of the brand/corporate stranglehold wealthy locals and investors alike have on the city, in my opinion), but I keep seeing more things pop up from down there that please me.
