Another major event bypassing Jacksonville, even with the giant scoreboards.

To be fair, even if we had the greatest stadium on the planet, I don't think Jacksonville is the market that the WWE is looking for with Wrestlemania. Minneapolis and Indianapolis, with their shiny new stadiums, bid for Wrestlemania, and lost. San Antonio has tried without success. Dallas only got it this year because of their new stadium. With a few exceptions - Detroit, Phoenix - the WWE will always want these in the largest media markets to help with promotion leading up to the event. Also, the WWE holds multiple events over three or four days for these events -- a Hall of Fame induction, a Fan Access event/convention, and Monday Night RAW. With over 70,000 people typically coming in for the week, neither the arena or convention center has the revenue-maximizing capacity the company looks for.

One day, perhaps, but I wouldn't take it as too much of a snub.

Damn!  That could have been a total gamechanger!

Are you feeling bad for those Baltimore Guys now?

Did Jacksonville even put a bid in ? I would think with the Amphitheater and Flex Field space, we would be a much better fit in a  year or so.

^I don't know if they would want to commit those facilities on April 2nd when they haven't announced a construction start date.

Orlando in 2016, Philadelphia in 2017, and Metlife Stadium in New York in 2018 is the word on the street.

and obviously 2016 was out since the club seat sections are under construction....with two giant cranes sitting on the field.
