Jacksonville residents looking to get home safely on New Year's Eve but were dreading the surge prices of Uber just got a lucky break: Farah & Farah, the Jacksonville-based personal injury law firm, is offering free cab rides to anyone who wants one.

The program is the first of its kind to be offered in Jacksonville, according to a company statement. Residents can sign up for the service at keepjaxsafe.org or by calling the Farah offices on New Year's Eve. The cost of the ride and gratuity will be covered by the law firm. "It's our absolute pleasure to be able to offer this to the community," saidEddie Farah, in a statement. "Jacksonville is the largest city in square mileage in the country. That can make it prohibitive and dangerous to travel on nights like New Year's Eve. We want to be able to support the energy and growth that is happening in our community and help keep people safe. This program is designed to do just that."
