Ordered the Steak Fajita Nachos takeout for lunch today. They get my sale of approval.

Almost started a new thread because I couldn't find one on Nacho Taco when searching.

So, I just OD'd on the chicken fajuita nachos for 7.99. I'm entering a deep food coma and I still have half of Monday to get through. They were wondering how I found them, I told them MetroJax sent me.

No tables or anything, not yet at least. The lady at the register said they should get those setup soon.  Everything else looks good as well, can't wait to go back.

Got the Chicken Cali Burrito. It was huge and came with a lot of chips, queso, and multiple salsa. Delicious!

QuoteHow did RAP allow this one to slip through?

Its in an existing structure, where they used to sell BBQ. Its not as if the owners created plans to gut it and put forth a 200 seat restaurant. Some restaurant owners actually have a brain......and use it!
I think he was referring to the paint color.

This place almost knows me on a first name basis already. It's not a flavor explosion but the food just taste fresh. Like it's homecooked or something you'd find off of a really good street vendor/taco truck.

And Hah, I didnt notice the tables on the side. This will save me from eating chicken nachos in my car.

I went yesterday and it was awesome. Huge portions and authentic style mexican. Not a tex-mexy over-seasoned burrito place.

This is where the BBQ place used to be.

Ate there today and it's really tasty.  Think Mr. Taco meets Riverside.

I knew it would be good when my taco came in a corn tortilla with fresh onion, cilantro and a lime wedge instead of mounds of cheese and loaded with sour cream.

On the recommendation of the other posters here I just stopped in for a late lunch. Carne Asada tacos. VERY fresh tasting. Rice was fluffy. Refried beans were perfect, not soupy at all. Prices was reasonable. The owners were extremely friendly and very happy about the business. The owner said the chef was from a little town in Mexico... guess that's why the food tasted so authentic.

I highly recommend Nacho Taco.  I know I will return... maybe for dinner in a couple hours.

My only hope is that they add Mexican Coke to the beverage assortment.

Got delivery from them last night. First I will say very prompt service, it was under 30 minutes from putting in the order to the driver ringing the door bell.

GF got the chicken tacos, she had no complaints.

I ordered beef chimichangas. Definitely not something I would order if I was at a work lunch but delicious none the same. The dog ended up eating a decent portion because I was so stuffed.

Went this weekend with the girlf. I got pulled pork tacos, she got a chicken quesadilla, and we got a side of guac. The food was more than we could eat, and came with a ton of chips. It was EXACTLY what I've been wanting since moving here a few years ago. Authentic Mexican food that you can't get anywhere else in Jacksonville! Exactly what I'd get at a small hole in the wall true Mexican restaurant on the west coast, not crappy flavorless American style tex-mex.

We talked to one of the owners and his wife for a while. Very nice people. The chef is also from a small town in Mexico, and everything is authentically made fresh and from scratch.

Extremely tasty, filling, and not too expensive. I will DEFINITELY be eating there regularly!

Hey Erikk, are you able to change the name of the topic to reflect the correct name of the place? Not sure you can make that edit at this point.

How about one of you mods?

Erikk,

This place is really good, but if you find yourself craving something similar:

Mr. Taco near Bowden.

That is all.
