Awesome. We have friends in Toronto. Our next trip just planned itself.
Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?

What a tease....using a 787 stock photo for announcing ERJ-175 service!

WOW! Great news then we really are an International Airport after all. Cool!
One of many unsung internet heroes who are almost entirely misunderstood. Contrary to popular belief, many trolls are actually quite intelligent. Their habitual attacks on forums is usually a result of their awareness of the pretentiousness and excessive self-importance of many forum enthusiasts.

Two good things about this, besides the obvious:

1. Customs pre clearance in YYZ. Step off the plane in JAX and ready to go..

2. Connectivity from YYZ to the world, with business class sales - year round - in the $1500 pp range.

It used to be you had to drive to MCO to catch a direct YYZ flight. No more.

Kudos to the Jacksonville Aviation Authority -- Board Chair Ray Alfred, Vice Chair Pat Kilbane, and the entire Board of Directors, and CEO Steve Grossman and his staff.

For those of who have not yet had a chance to visit Toronto, it is worth a trip. Here's a succinct summary from Lonely Planet: http://www.lonelyplanet.com/canada/toronto

Does this mean more pasty white tourists in speedos flooding the beaches in the spring!?  :D

Just kidding.  This is excellent news!!

This is great!! Now we are one flight away from (arguably) the best Cantonese food in the world!
This kinda came out of the blue. Surprised nobody leaked it sooner...

I think I have posted this on MJ before, but based on our O&D with Toronto and how we compared to other cities who were garnering interests and/or flights from Air Canada, it seems we are ready. London is not too far behind in O&D numbers but probably for many other reasons is not really feasible. Frankfurt at one time was also right behind but then dropped off in the 2011 numbers.
