JSO to add 80 Cops, replace 100 in next year 40 new Cops, 40 new community service Cops funded in city budget. Per Channel 4 http://www.news4jax.com/news/jso-to-hire-80-officers-replace-100-in-next-year/35418432 Now what I want to know is what the Community service Cops really doing? 40 new community service officers, who handle issues like traffic and crowd control to free up sworn officers to deal with crime. The last time we had the community service cops I know for a fact some were used for spying on innocent people the JSO thought were doing something bad, which they weren't.  So I as a resident of Jacksonville Florida want to know what are the REAL DUTIES of the community service cop will be.
