QuoteIt's a good time to start a small business in the Southeast, and across Northeast Florida.
Small business lending is up 45 percent from last year in the Southeast, according to a news release. About $4.2 million has been doled out so far in 2015.

Small business lending is up by $400 million in Florida alone.
In addition, more small business loans than ever are granted to women. Women-owned businesses accounted for $600 million in loans – a 40 percent increase year-over-year.

Loans to "underserved" communities, meanwhile, accounted for $83 million of those loans.
The Southeast region includes Alabama, Kentucky, Mississippi, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Tennessee and Florida.
