Is Jacksonvile ready for a road diet?

FDOT removed the state highway designations from Riverside Avenue, and turning it over to the City, after rebuilding it. As I recall, certain aspects do not meet FDOT standards. US 17 (and SR 228) were moved onto I-10 and I-95, and off of College/Post and Riverside.

So, Riverside Avenue between Peninsular Place and the Acosta Bridge used to be a state road, but now, it is not. It's all on the City of Jacksonville.
