Subject: Please Help Pass the Word: FREE Ask-A-Lawyer Event, Saturday, March 21st, 9-12, SOS Academy, 6974 Wilson Blvd, 32210

Hello Community Leaders,

Attached you will find the flyer for our next Ask-A-Lawyer event that will be held on Saturday, March 21st, 9:00-12:00, at SOS Academy, 6974 Wilson Blvd, 32210.  If you're willing to make some copies of the attached flyer for bulletin boards and to hand out to clients, patients, congregants, constituents, neighbors, patrons, etc., to help us pass the word that this valuable, free service will be available again on March 21st, we'd be very grateful.

At the Ask-A-Lawyer event, there will be about 15 licensed, pro bono attorneys ready to talk to individuals, one-to-one, in 15-minute interviews to answer legal questions and provide guidance.

Please forward this email to other leaders in our community including doctors, business owners, executive directors, principals, pastors, rabbis, teachers, social workers, community volunteers, and friends who can help distribute this information.

If you have contacts with any of our media companies and are willing to forward the press release and public service announcement,  that would be great, too.

Ask-A-Lawyer is in its 6th year of service in Northeast Florida.  It's all about taking legal guidance into neighborhoods to educate, encourage, and empower.  Pro bono attorneys have assisted hundreds of people to take steps to resolve legal matters at Ask-A-Lawyer events.

Many thanks for all you do in our community and thank you for helping us pass the word!

With sincere appreciation,

Kathy

March 21, 2015, 11 am – 1 pm

In this ceramics class, artists Alisha Lewis and Olice Williams will teach you how to create a single clay object that incorporates all 3 basic construction techniques of pinch, coil, and slab building. It could get messy, so wear clothing that you don't mind getting dirty.  Alisha and Olice will also give you a tour of the Through Our Eyes 2015 art exhibit in the Ritz Museum gallery. The art class is $10 and tickets can be purchased at the Ritz Box Office or by phone at 904.807.2010.

FDOT Northeast Florida Unveils Safe Work Zone Video

Jacksonville – Road Work Ahead signs are going up all over the place these days as a "road construction boom" is underway in the Northeast Florida area. And it's only going to go up from here!

With more than $1 billion in construction projects underway, the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) wants to provide our highway workers with safe locations to do their jobs.

Road workers are just like your office workers – except their offices are much larger and have no windows or doors! They, too, want to go home to their families each day.

FDOT is unveiling a 7-minute long video on YouTube about driving through construction work zones.  The video takes you through many recognizable construction zones in the Jacksonville area including the massive I-95 Overland Bridge project and uses local workers as well as FHP.

Click on the link below to view the video:

www.nflroads.com\safeworkzone

We hope our media partners will use parts of the video as PSA's to remind motorists why they should use 'common sense' when driving through construction work zones. Since the majority of deaths in construction work zones are either the driver or passenger, this message is very important for us to get out.

FDOT Traffic Advisory

Notice of delays scheduled on northbound and southbound I-95

Jacksonville – Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) advises that an operation to install overhead signs on Interstate 95 requires southbound traffic slowdowns early Thursday and Friday mornings.  The traffic pacing operation is scheduled from midnight to 4 a.m. each morning from one mile north of Emerson Street to Butler Boulevard.

Additionally, northbound traffic on Interstate 95 is scheduled to have slowdowns Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, March 17, 18 and 20 from 10 p.m. until 5 a.m.  The pacing of traffic is between Butler Boulevard and the Overland Bridge downtown.  The traffic slowdown procedure provides a gap in traffic long enough to place the girder over the travel lanes and secure it before traffic is released under it.

Traffic is controlled by off-duty law enforcement.

As always, motorists should use caution when traveling through the construction zone. For the safety of our workers, speeding fines are doubled when workers are present as required by state law.

For more information regarding FDOT projects around the Northeast Florida area please visit http://nflroads.com. Follow FDOT on Twitter @MyFDOT_NEFL or http://twitter.com/MyFDOT_NEFL and http://facebook.com/MyFDOTNEFL for the latest updates.
