I wouldn't be the least bit surprised that this situation finds itself on the next episode of American Greed on CNBC (great show btw).  If an audit is actually conducted instead of threatened, it could be a bit messy.

If the fund has only .43 per every dollar in funding, then pay Keane .43 of every dollar he says he deserves.

Also, I am trying to figure out how COJ is on the hook for a pension fund that hasnt had a decent audit?

I understand the need to support administrative seperation between pension funds and politicians, but you still have to have accountability for performance.

Forensic audit couldn't happen soon enough.

When accountability is at a minimum, the cracks for one to exploit turn into wide open doors. See Detroit's Kwame Kilpatrick. Getting fat by the expense of the taxpayers is never a good thing.

Yea you can't claim you did much good by negotiating deals for police and fire fighters if you never secured the money to pay them in the first place!  I'd say he didn't fully do his job, lol.

Totally taking advantage of the system.  Thank goodness for investigative reporting.

Love to see this arrogant SOB behind bars.  Maybe he can get Cuba as his cell mate.
