Bring tires and illegal right-of-way signs to EverBank Field's Lot J on Saturday, April 5, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the City of Jacksonville and City Council's Tire and Sign Buyback event.

Duval County residents can receive $2 per tire for up to 10 tires, and 50 cents per sign for up to 40 signs. No realtor signs accepted. No agricultural or concrete tires accepted.

Now take all your old tires and those ugly "We BUY Houses" signs or other sign garbage (No Realtor signs please) and get paid for your efforts. Heck, you might clean up all of Springfield over one week! lol!

And, that $115 will save Jacksonville from financial ruin. - Mayor John Peyton

This is a great concept. Offer to pay them and they'll show up. People will be fighting over old tires from Westside to the Beaches.

I've heard this type of event is very successful in other places. Good idea COJ.
