I am doing some work on my house and need a stucco guy to do some repair and matching of the existing cut brick on the house and a brick mason to put a brick veneer on a concrete porch stoop.  Anyone have anybody they use that does good work at a reasonable cost?

Stephen has one ask him, actually it's two brothers, they live half the time in Indiana and half the time here, not sure what their schedule is like but that may be an option. Also PM strider or Sheclown on this site, they're contractors and will know somebody if they can't do it themselves. The talent is in matching the mortar so it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb, judging by how many crappy jobs I see around town with horribly mismatched mortar telling you exactly where the new section is, it must be pretty difficult to do.

Two great guys that I have used on multiple projects:

Stucco and Plaster - Jim's Stucco and Plaster,  282-9999.  He did about 50 sq. yards of plaster walls in my house and made it look like the inside of a bathtub it was so smooth.  Most of his work is stucco since everybody tends to use drywall.  I do not.

Cowboy's Masonry - 353-8679.  Real name Michael Terry, but he picked up the nickname Cowboy years ago.  Third generation mason and the guy everybody in Riverside uses.  Perfectionist.  Knows how to do the veined grout line that is used in our rustic block retaining walls.  Block, brick, pavers, structural and ground cover, he does it all.
When all else fails hug the dog.
