Very positive. Can't wait for San Marco Station.

The article reads: "Rain Dogs will be opening soon"...it's been open for almost 2 weeks.

Also, that bakery on Lomax. Was walking by the other day and saw their electric was turned off by JEA for nonpayment. Does anyone know for sure they're actually going in there?

What about the closing of Amy's in 5 points and the sweet shop that's taking it's place?

What about the sweet shop?  Do you know the name? Perhaps we can do some digging and add something about it.

The architects of the Beaver Street Villas were at HPC last night for an OOA. It's going to be really nice, a great contribution to that corner of Downtown/LaVilla.

Not sure of the name. I know there's been a huge green canvas sign in the window for a few weeks. Drive by many times per day. I'll throw up the name next time I see it.

Over in St Nick that giant thrift store on Beach has closed and it has been completely gutted. Crews have been there constantly for the past few weeks. On Monday they started to put in new windows and doing other facade work. I'm not sure if they have a tenant lines up, but that space is HUGE.

Beautiful Family Dollar Architecture.  Guaranteed to be non-contributing structures in the future.....

It's going to be a doctor's office with a pharmacy.

Like a sketchy doctor's office with lots of out of state plates in the parking lot or something legit?

^ I really hope it's legit. I was so optimistic when the thrift store left. This isn't what I was hoping for, but a legit office isn't a bad thing. If it's a pill mill, I'm shutting that mother down!!

I hope Riverside Avondale Preservation (or whomever) helps steer the Five Points Village Shopping Center from being the ugliest generic strip mall in the area to something worthy of our awesome neighborhood.

From one of my neighbors it is actually supposed to be the new location/expansion the Emed office that is next to Havana Jax.  Not a Baptist Health location or anything, but Emed seems OK.  Supposedly owned by one of the family members of the Havana Jax people if I remember right.

I'll take businesses occupying the area again over RAP needlessly dragging out the process another year or two.
