Hello All !!!
I was doing my normal search of Youtube for new Jacksonville videos and came across this! Thought you folk would also like to see it! Pretty good view of whats to come for the Overland bridge on I-95 through San Marco and Southside. Please let me know what you think. I never really post things that I find! Wow. Nicely done RS&H.

indeed....its pretty neat what a nearly $200 million dollar project affords the opportunity to do....this may have been done in order to win the contract.

The contractor, Archer-Western, did a good job of keeping the traffic moving during construction on the I-10/I-95 interchange upgrade.  Hope they can do the same on this one.

Am I mis-seeing this or is there really a big impact at Atlantic Blvd.  Almost looks like they are taking everything out halfway to the St. Nicholas shopping center.

This animation makes it easier to see the before and after than the maps do.

Cool video. I still can't really tell if the walkability from San Marco to the South Bank will be improved, though. Getting there via San Marco Blvd is pretty treacherous as it is now.

I know this project's goal is obviously to improve traffic flow on I-95, but I do wonder what the side affects will be on the land beneath the overland bridge? It looks like they're installing sidewalks under I-95 between San Marco Blvd and Palm Ave, but I have no idea if that's related to the streetscape project or the overland bridge project.

Cool video, especially that commuter rail train coming up the FEC.

Other than noise abatement and some greenspace along the ROW, I don't see much else in enhancements.

The motivation for this project is replace the high maintenance elevated north bound lanes with soil supported roadbed.  All that outer stuff is fall out , standards and scope creep..

Awesome job on the video, definitely made it clear the work to be done, thanks for posting!

Nope, they are replacing it with another bridge.
