This is a nice lineup....that said, the festival has fewer acts than in teh past...note that shows don't start until 2pm, whereas they used to start at noon

I'm going to Tampa that weekend so I can't go this year. But without me there, maybe it won't rain this time.

I agree that I wish there were more acts (more is always better, right?), but one of my favorite parts of Jazz Fest seems to have been beefed up a little this year (the jam sessions which used to just be at the Omni and are now spread througout places like 1904, Underbelly, etc).  I truly think they should expand that even more.

That being said, noon at Saturday the past few years have been miserably hot... especially at the Main Stage.  I don't mind the 2pm start time as much.

^ Might be on to something field....while it does look like fewer acts, they may have slid the schedule some too....I don't remember "official" ending times on all 3 stages going past 10pm on Friday and Saturdat nights.

I also agree that the amped up jam sessions is a great move....the one at the Landing on Friday night should be quite good

As great as the new Jazzfest format has become... I really dislike the VIP waste of space in front of the "Swingin Stage". Last year I went with family & friends who were really excited for Trombone Shorty. We ended up piling up along the fence line about 400 yards from the stage. There were thousands of people huddled together and spread down the block while a couple hundred got a decent view inside the fence.

I understand bringing in money on the tickets and I can appreciate the chance to pay for a select viewing area... but does it have to be such a large area?
And though I long to embrace, I will not replace my priorities: humour, opinion, a sense of compassion, creativity and a distaste for fashion.

Will there be performances in the Snyder too?
