Seems like that Ardy's joint in Springfield has been "coming" for 2 years now???

It's still ahead of Pulp and Fuddruckers!!!!!!

^Then I hope they sell a ton of nuggets to recoup that cost.

With nearly 70,000 cars on State/Union every day, they'll sell them and more.  I wouldn't be surprised to see more similar type development along this corridor in the next few years. I just wish we saw the importance in modifying our zoning policy to encourage more multimodal friendly development along this stretch to help bridge the gap between downtown and Springfield.
HELL yea man...That union State section will make a killing. But if they put more business there, they may have to kill some of those traffic lights, when its all Green, State and Union is like a racetrack or at least thats how it used to be.

I was a little surprised they have the main entrance on State St.  We could see some rear end collisions there with the speeding and tailgating so common.

My bad. It looks like I skipped over that temporary place note. It's obviously a restaurant/bar going into the old Layla's spot on Hendricks.  However, I personally don't know the details at this point to provide more info.  I'm sure, someone reading this thread will eventually give an update.

I thought Layla's was just rebuilding? Looks like they pushed the front wall further from the street, to have some more comfortable patio seating.

I drove by the Ale Pie House and they had a small sign out front that said they were open.  Didn't see many cars though.  Will try and go back this week and check it out.

They put up a new sign over the weekend:
Mezze bar and grill
(I believe it was an 'e' at the end, and not an 'a')
Whatever it is (with that name, I'm guessing its the same food style), it looks to be opening soon.

Just FYI, Jax Truckies is helping kick off the official grand opening of Aardwolf Brewery this Friday night from 5-11.  Corner Taco and Gourmet Aviator will be on hand for the festivities.

Do you believe that when the blue jay or another bird sings and the body is trembling, that is a signal that people are coming or something important is about to happen?
